The Reflectoquant system incorporates the RQflex reflectometer and a range of Reflectoquant test strips for different analyses.

Test strips: the strips make testing very easy. Each of the strips has the chemistry built in to enable accurate and reliable testing. The strip is simply dipped into the test solution and then placed into the Reflectometer. A numerical result is displayed on the RQflex screen within a few seconds.

Barcode technology: each test strip box has its own Barcode strip for entering the method parameters into the RQflex. The Barcode strip is simply inserted into the reader slot and the method is then set. Calibration data for each kit is also included with the Barcode strip.

RQflex reflectometer: the portable unit is battery powered and very easy to use. Each test is set up using the Barcode strip, and then the test done by inserting the test strip into the strip holder. A numerical result is displayed for each test strip.

Applications: the different tests have Application sheets explaining any details needed. At Vintessential we are working through each of these tests to confirm the accuracy and reliability for each analyte. We will provide updates on our progress via our monthly Newsletter.

New tests: Merck are continuing to investigate new tests that can be performed with the Reflectoquant system. We will advise as new test strips become available.
